Depuis début septembre, à Tacna , un Front de défense se bat contre la compagnie minière Minsur. Le Front s’oppose à l’exploitation d’une mine d’or pour des raisons écologiques de contamination des sols et de capture de l’eau dans une des régions les plus désertiques du Pérou.

IPS - A severe drought is preventing Nicaragua’s electric companies from operating at capacity. The energy crisis triggered protests recently when the period of electricity rationing reached 15 hours a day.

Blumberg y sus aliados han convocado a una marcha por la seguridad, para el día 31 de agosto. Su reclamo consiste en pedir una policía unificada a nivel nacional, bajar la edad de imputabilidad de los menores. Dice que “la marcha será apolítica” y que “no pueden permitir que los menores sigan asesinando gente”. Otro de los reclamos es el juicio por jurados.
